Before They Were Famous 2009 PRESS RELEASE
The North Wales dancing school SB Entertainments is celebrating another successful end-of-year show at Venue Cymru in Llandudno.
Over 300 students aged two to 60 took part in the annual musical and dance extravaganza, Before They Were Famous.
The event was the culmination of six months’ practice by SB Entertainments’ budding West End Showstoppers who attend its weekly dance classes and after school-based workshops.
The performance attracted an audience of almost 900, who enjoyed a colourful presentation of modern dance and singing acts including a tribute to the late Michal Jackson.
Show Director Sarah Baldock was delighted for the pupils, some of whom have learning disabilities and health issues: “For some it was a massive achievement, getting up on stage in front of so many people. Not only do they have something to focus on for half a year of their lives, but it also helps to keep them fit and energised.
“We had a great turnout of about 875 family members, friends and members of the general public.”
SB Entertainments, staffed by qualified teachers with professional performance experience, runs classes and teaches in state schools from The Wirral to Mid Wales.
With an extensive talent pool, SB Entertainments offers tuition in a broad-cross section of disciplines, from choreography to singing. It also runs special school holiday clubs in which pupils go on day trips to local attractions and prepare – and perform – their own show for friends and family.
